A brand new kind of effect
Technically speaking, it's a dynamic real-time convolution engine. Practically speaking, it's basically a time machine, shaping audio in ways traditional linear delays and reverbs simply can't.
Conventional delays and reverbs echo the past. Revert echoes a past that never happened..
Oh, and: you can change a parameter and hear the effects retroactively across the entire tail. It’s super trippy, but it works!
Shit I bet Your Delay Can't Do
Elastic Time: Stretch reflections exponentially, or collapse them into a time singularity.
Warping Stereo: Spiral the tail wider with each repeat, or pull it tighter.
Evolving Tone: Tails can brighten as they decay, not just darken.
Non-Locality: Reflections can dissolve into reverb, or sharpen into focus.
textbook physics: Core Controls
These lay down the rules for your first reflection.
The Skew Controls then break them.
Forbidden physics: Skew Controls
Each core parameter gets a Skew knob that acts perpendicular to time.
Translation: recent sounds can be crisp while older ones dissolve into reverb - at the same time, in the same tail.
Flavor and Mayhem
Blur Type — Shape the noise that smears your reflections into a soft haze.
Character — Run the whole thing through a tape machine, a mic, or a speaker cabinet. Pick your poison.
Reverse — A look-ahead lets the tail play backward and swell into the input, instead of away from it.
Freeze — Instead of looping audio, Revert keeps integrating the tail into the freeze. The result evolves instead of just repeating.
Alright, enough talk!
Find out what your delay can't do. Good luck going back!
